The evolution from
Sketch to Product
Every idea, every product, every piece of branding and every web page, photo concept, everything that we create begins life as a blank page in a sketch book.
The idea is played with, mocked up, the bits I like that feel right stay, otherwise it's rubbed out and worked back into. Eventually something magical starts to happen - the product emerges and from there I just have to bring it to life.

The Bramham
rucksack
The Rucksack design came about after a holiday to Rome.
We were spending whole days out exploring the city. I was in my element people watching (roman women are style personified), eating mouth watering italian food, climbing 1000 year old steps, exploring ruins and marvelling at the incredible art and architecture.
I was frustrated that the only bag we had that was large enough to carry a day's supplies (x2 bottles of water, my sketch book, sunglasses, purse, sun cream, phone, lip balm and a guide book) was an old hiking rucksack. It was comfortable to carry, but that was about it. The italian women looked sensational and I (imagine Baby from Dirty Dancing) was carrying, not a watermelon, but an old sports rucksack that my husband had owned for years. "No problem" I thought "I'll treat myself to one from a Roman leather shop". The shops smelt amazing, and were full of lovely leather bags, but none of them offered the balance of size, organisation, security. comfort and style I wanted.
So at dinner one night I sat down and started to mind map out what the bag had to carry, what design features were non negotiables, and from there a design brief started to emerge.
